Mission

With 11,000 years of human history, Cyprus stands at the crossroads of human aspiration, art and culture. From the Paleolithic pottery found at Choirokitia to the Mycenean art depicting the Odyssey at Kouklia and the worship of Aphrodite, art has played an important role in the history of Cyprus.

Frequently, this incredible heritage of art and culture has been subsumed by new social habits and customs. Social media, gaming and digital addictions have changed the way we interact with art and society in general. And in a culture focussed on commercial success, few have the time or motivation to become artists, or to study art history or archaeology or other professions.

Our mission is to promote art and art history in Cyprus as an integral part of the fabric of education, society and the economy.

By organizing the ART.Cy Conference & Exhibition, we aim to improve the role and importance of a vital aspect of history, culture and life in Cyprus.

By organizing the Living Art Project, we honour the voices of artists from all walks of life who have contributed so much to Cyprus.

We support existing and future artists, galleries and other entities involved in art, including archaeologists, art historians, learning institutions and more.
