ART.Cy is proud to welcome Takayuki Mori, a renowned Japanese visual and sculpture artist, to this year’s exhibition. Known for his innovative exploration of perception, Mori combines 3D printing, string techniques, and LED lighting to challenge the way we experience space and form.
Drawing inspiration from urban landscapes and traditional symbols, Mori transforms everyday details into mesmerizing artworks that blur the boundaries between two-dimensional and three-dimensional space. His precision-crafted pieces, enhanced by carefully placed lighting, create a dynamic interplay of shadows and depth.
A graduate of Kyoto University of Art & Design, Mori has been showcasing his work internationally since 2012, earning acclaim, including a Special Award at the TARO Exhibition in 2020. His participation in ART.Cy promises to bring a fresh perspective to the dialogue between tradition and modernity in contemporary art.
Mori’s recent residency and exhibition at the WIP Festival 2024 at the Agora Exhibition Space (CYENS) in Nicosia, Cyprus, where he showcased Memento, further underscores his ongoing exploration of space, memory, and light.
Stay tuned for more on Mori’s works and his contribution to ART.Cy!
