Takayuki MORI
Takayuki Mori is a Japanese visual and sculpture artist. He focuses on brain’s processing of visual understanding. He uses 3D printers and lighting to challenge the perception of two-dimensional and three-dimensional space.
Takayuki Mori likes to explore and seek inspiration from the cities and its details. He notices the beauty of the old and the traditional symbols, and puts them to life using his techniques.
The objects are carefully crafted with the precise use of a string that is connected on the surface of the 3D printed model. The use of different techniques, the blend of the modern and the traditional, allows him to create original artworks that are elevated to a different dimension with the help of carefully placed led lighting.
Takayuki Mori studied at the Kyoto University of Art & Design where he got his degree in sculpture. He has been actively participating in exhibitions world wide since 2012. In 2020 he received a “Special Award” at the TARO Exhibition.
